Nicephore Niepce took the first documented permenent photo in 1826. The picture captures the roof and surroun
ding the country side of his estate. This photo was created with a camera obscura focused onto a 20 × 25 cm (7.9 × 9.8 in) pewter plate coated with bitumen of judea and it was exposed for 8 hours.he was born in 1765.
